cell phone (if possible) , get the meet coordinator's phone number (cell and home), if you have a cell phone get some cell numbers of other people that will be at the meet, get full directions to the meeting place, make sure you bring plenty of useful maps, don't speed (ahhemm), and always carry your registration with you. I know that after a long drive you can feel real flustrated once you get there and can't find the place and that might make you feel like giving up and heading back. Just try to stay cool, don't panic, pull into a gass station and take a break, get something to drink and then use the resources I mentioned above to get yourself back on track. If you keep your cool and take your time everything will work out. And after the meet you'll probably feel like taking your time going home and that will help to keep from getting that ticket.
